Impact
The deeper purpose should be real enough to measure.
Forge 54 should be able to show whether it is creating the conditions it claims to create without turning the participant experience into a clinical assessment.
The four outcomes
The questions we ask
Confidence
Do people feel more willing to try something new, contribute in a group or use a skill they have learned?
Connection
Did people make a meaningful new connection, and are relationships continuing after the event?
Capability
Did people gain practical skills, responsibility or experience they can use again?
Choice
Did people take a positive next step such as returning, volunteering, training, leading, helping someone else or choosing a new direction?
The question that matters most
Are people forming relationships that continue when Forge 54 is not in the room?
How we will report
Evidence before claims.
We intend to combine simple voluntary participant measures with longer-term follow-up and real stories shared with explicit consent. Numerical targets will be set once first-year event capacity and programme mix are known.
[IMPACT DATA] Do not publish percentages, participant counts or impact claims until verified data exists. Add consented stories and real numbers here as they become available. Delete this note before publishing.
What we expect to track
- Whether people felt genuinely welcomed and included.
- Whether they made at least one meaningful new connection.
- Whether they learned a practical skill they intend to use again.
- Whether they remain connected after the event.
- Whether they return, volunteer, help another participant or take on greater responsibility.
- The number and value of supported places funded through grants and donations.
- Local suppliers, experts and organisations that choose to work with Forge 54 again.
